The Detroit office of the EEOC brought this action in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, against Rite Aid Corporation. The complaint, filed in September 2003, alleged sex discrimination in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; specifically that the Defendant had subjected the charging party to a sexually hostile work environment by propositioning her for oral sex and touching her in a sexual nature. In May 2004 there was a stipulated order to dismiss the case for unknown reasons.
