The EEOC's Cleveland office filed this suit December 5, 1997 against Invacare Corporation in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, Cleveland division. The EEOC alleged disparate treatment by Invacare of a black female employee in violation of Title VII. The case was referred to mediation early but no agreement was reached.
