In June 1999, the Baltimore District Office of the EEOC brought this lawsuit against Lucky 9 Car Wash LP, doing business as Mr. Wash, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. We do not have a copy of the complaint; therefore, the exact allegations involved are unknown. However, it appears from the Order Granting Motion for Summary Judgment that the complaint alleged that the defendant discriminated against the charging party on the basis of age in violation of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act by terminating her position. Defendant's movement for summary judgment in March 2000 was granted in April 2000. The EEOC appealed the order to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, Case No. 00-1852, which was dismissed in August 2000.
