In June 2006, the EEOC district office in Cleveland, Ohio brought this suit against the M. DiGioia Company, a general construction firm, in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. The complaint states that a female alleged that the defendant violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 when it refused to hire her because of her sex. Specifically, the complaint states that the aggrieved female was denied four Heavy Machinery Operator positions that were subsequently given to males. The case was dismissed in February 2007. No settlement documentation is currently available.
