Case Summary

The EEOC's Chicago district office sued Press Republican Newspapers, Inc. and Liberty Group Suburban Newspapers, Inc. on May 24, 2001 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. The EEOC's complaint alleged that the two defendants violated the Americans with Disabilities Act when they discriminated based on a mental disability (depression) when they discharged the complainant.
