The Little Rock (along with Memphis) office of the EEOC filed Title VII sex discrimination suit against Quilted Care, LTD and Concordia Quilt, LLC in July 2005, in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas. The complaint was not available; therefore, the cause of action is unknown. The parties entered into a Settlement Agreement a few months after the court set the final schedule.
The Settlement Agreement is binding on the parties for one year. According to the agreement, the defendant is to: refrain from sex discrimination, provide Title VII requirement training for supervisors and managers, refrain from retaliating against the complaining employee, hire claimant to a housekeeping position, provide notice (poster) of Title VII requirements, expunge the record of the complaining employee, and to pay the complaining employee $17,000 in damages.
The decree was entered in February 2006 and scheduled to last until February 2007. No further docket entries exist, so the case is closed.
