ACLU of Southern California
The ACLU of Southern California was founded in 1923, just three years after the national ACLU. Its mission is to preserve and expand the rights guaranteed by the Bill of Rights. It handles cases that affect a large number of people involving freedom of speech, press, religion, and association; due process; equal protection; and privacy; voting rights; discrimination based on disability, race, sex, sexual orientation, religion or national origin; police and jail reform; and workers' rights.
The below cases represent a special subset of the full Clearinghouse collection.
