Abstract On May 7th, Texas’ Governor, Greg Abbott, signed SB 4 into law. SB 4 is the most discriminatory piece of anti-immigrant legislation in the United States. SB 4 is currently scheduled to go into effect in September 2017. The bill makes Texas less safe by encouraging racial profiling and forcing local police to act as federal immigration agents.

TCRP is committed to bringing national awareness to this discriminatory legislation and working to build the capacity of grassroots organizers and other advocates in Texas working to resist the law.
