Case Summary

In September 2004 the Charlotte District Office of the EEOC filed this lawsuit against Bud Foods, LLC, doing business as Shoney's Restaurant, in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina alleging discrimination on the basis of sex, female, in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Specifically, the complaint alleged that the defendant subjected the complainant, a female employee, to sexual harassment culminating in her constructive discharge from employment.
