In September 2001, the EEOC's Atlanta office filed this suit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia against Freshpoint of Atlanta, Inc., d/b/a Atlanta's Finest d/b/a Mitt Parker Company, Inc., alleging sex discrimination. The only information available for this summary came from the docket for the case. It is known, however, that the parties quickly came to an agreement and a consent decree was adopted by the court in September 2002 that provided $68,500 to an unknown amount of complainants. The decree also provided at least some injunctive relief in the form of mandatory training sessions for employees.
