In January 1999, the Birmingham District Office of the EEOC brought this suit against Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. The only document publicly available regarding this case is the docket; therefore, the exact allegations involved are unknown. After some discovery and a scheduling order, the parties entered into a settlement agreement in September 1999, voluntarily dismissing the case.
