In December 1997, the EEOC district office in Los Angeles, California brought this suit against Doc Johnson Enterprises and the Health Devices Corporation in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. The complaint is currently unavailable. After a single motion to compel, the parties settled the case and a consent decree was entered in August 1998. Although the consent decree is not available, the docket states that Health Devices agreed to pay a class of people $150,000.
