In March 1997, the Phoenix District Office of the EEOC filed this lawsuit against Knight Transportation, Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona. We do not have a copy of the complaint; therefore, the exact allegations involved are unknown. Following some discovery and settlement conferences, the parties settled the lawsuit in December 1997 through a consent decree. We do not have a copy of the decree; therefore, the exact remedies involved are unknown. However, it appears from the docket that the defendant was required, among other remedies, to offer reinstatement to three female individuals and pay $70,000 to be distributed among one complaining party and a class of injured truck drivers.
