In March 2005, the Louisville Area Office of the EEOC brought this lawsuit against Tri-Valley Plastics, Inc., doing business as Tri-Valley Millennium Plastics, Inc., in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky alleging discrimination on the basis of sex and retaliation in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Specifically, the complaint alleged that the defendant sexually harassed some of the complaining parties, female employees, and retaliated against complainants following their opposition to these practices. Following some discovery, the parties settled the lawsuit in September 2006 through a consent decree.
The two year decree required the defendant to: post notice of employee rights, provide EEO training to its supervisors and managers, and pay $7,500 to be distributed among three complaining parties. The docket sheet doesn't show any further enforcement took place; the case was presumably closed in 2008.
