In September 1998 the Chicago office of the EEOC brought this suit against UNICCO Service Company and Unicco Security Services, Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. The complaint is unavailable, but a press release indicates that the EEOC alleged religious discrimination. A settlement was reached in March 1999, and the case was voluntarily dismissed. The details of the settlement agreement are unavailable, but the EEOC press release indicates that the defendant paid $55,000 in settlement.
