The Phoenix District Office of the EEOC brought this suit against Walker Restaurants, L.L.C., which owns the Restaurant Hapa, in September of 2003, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona. The only document available from PACER is the docket, which limits availability of the facts surrounding the case. It appears that the suit was a sexual discrimination case in violation of Title VII. The parties agreed in May of 2004 to settle the case through a consent decree. This decree included $15,000 in damages to be given to two women, and injunctive relief to stop Walker Restaurants from discriminating based on gender or retaliating for claims of harassment.
