On July 12, 2005, the San Francisco and Honolulu offices of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed a lawsuit under Title VII against the Sako Corporation in the U.S. District Court for the Northern Mariana Islands. Since we only have the docket for this case, we are unsure of the nature of the complaint.

On December 2, 2005, the plaintiffs asked the district court to record an entry of default, since the defendants had failed to respond to the summons that was issued to them. On February 27, 2006, the district court entered an order dismissing the case with prejudice. The next day, the plaintiffs filed a motion for reconsideration, and on March 1, 2006, the district court issued an order vacating the dismissal of the case. On March 4, 2006, the district court once again dismissed the case, this time without prejudice, and ordered that the plaintiffs would be able to re-open the case should circumstances change.
