In June 2002 the Phoenix and Albuquerque offices of the EEOC brought this suit in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona against Los Padres Inn Inc., Summit Hotel Management Company d/b/a Yuma Airport Travelodge, and Tipton Management Company. The EEOC complaint is unavailable, and the exact allegations are unknown. After answering the EEOC complaint, each defendant filed cross-claims against a co-defendant.
The case was settled by the entry of three consent decrees beginning in October 2003. All cross-claims between defendants were dismissed. They consisted of (1) a consent decree between EEOC and Summit Hotel Management Company; (2) a consent decree between EEOC and Los Padres Inn, Inc.; and (3) a consent decree between EEOC and Tipton Management Company. It appears from the docket that Tipton Management Company was the entity from which the EEOC obtained relief in the form of $5,000.00. The consent decrees are unavailable; therefore any additional relief is unknown.
