In January 1999, the Birmingham (along with Washington, D.C.) office of the EEOC brought this suit against Pretty Products Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. The defendant filed a motion for summary judgment in January 2000, and the court granted the summary judgement in favor of the defendant in May 2000. The plaintiff filed an appeal in July 2000, but the parties voluntarily dismissed the appeal in November 2000.
