In May 1999, the Philadelphia District Office of the EEOC brought this suit against Macy's East, Inc., a subsidiary of Federated Stores, Inc., in the U.S. District Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The only document publicly available regarding this case is the docket; therefore, the exact allegations involved are unknown. After some scheduling orders, the parties settled in April 2000 through a settlement agreement.
