The New Orleans District Office brought this action in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, against International Maintenance Corporation. The complaint, filed in March 1998, alleged sex discrimination in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; specifically that Defendant subjected the charging party to sexual harassment. The charging party intervened in June 1998 and in March 1999 the parties agreed to a settlement agreement and the case was dismissed. The settlement agreement provided for Defendant to pay the charging party an undisclosed amount, continue to post its EEO and work place harassment notice, continue to train all newly hired employees on EEO law, and comply with the legal prohibition against retaliation.
