The EEOC's St. Louis office filed this suit in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, in September 2005. The complainant intervened in the EEOC's suit and both parties alleged that defendant Assured Quality Title Company violated Title VII by firing the complainant because she was pregnant.

The case settled and a consent decree was entered on September 27, 2006. The defendant agreed to pay complainant $40,000 total to cover damages and attorney's fees. The defendant also agreed to report to the EEOC specific information about pregnant employees and how those employees were treated. Examples of the policy defendant was to adopt and post were attached to the consent decree. The settlement term was 2 years. The docket sheet does not show any further enforcement; the case was presumably closed in 2008.
