The San Francisco District Office filed this case in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. The defendant was Vasquez Brothers, Inc., also known as Central Coast Packing, a company that specializes in custom wood crates and foam packaging. The complaint alleged that the complainant was sexually harassed, and subsequently fired when she complained in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The lawsuit was filed in September 2005 and was resolved by consent decree in October 2006. The complainant, who did not intervene in the case, was awarded a total of $42,000. In addition, the company had to provide annual training, distribute copies of its anti-harassment policies, and make semi-annual reports to the EEOC. The duration of the consent decree was three years. The docket sheet shows that no further enforcement took place; the case was presumably closed in 2009.
