The EEOC's Detroit district office sued Comair, Inc., on September 2, 2005 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan. The EEOC's complaint alleged that the defendant violated Title VII when it discriminated based on religion by failing to hire and accommodate the complainant. The parties entered into a consent decree on November 14, 2006, which stipulated that the defendant would pay the complainant $21,366.80 in damages, post a notice of compliance with Title VII, provide Title VII training to its managers, and report its training efforts to the EEOC. The settlement term was 3 years. The docket sheet does not show any further enforcement; the case was presumably closed in 2009.
