Case Summary

In September 2004, the Baltimore office of the EEOC brought this Title VII suit against Imported Cars of Maryland d/b/a College Park Honda in the U.S. District for the District of Maryland. The complaint alleged that subjected the claimant, an Indian employee, to a hostile work environment and retaliation based on the claimant's race and ethnicity. The parties settled by entry of a consent decree in June 2005. The one year consent decree required the defendant to pay the claimant a sum of $40,000, refrain from discrimination and retaliation, provide all employees training, and post notice.
