The EEOC's Los Angeles district office sued Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company on February 26, 1998 in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. The docket is the only document available for this case, which indicates that the cause of action is probably Title VII. The individual complainant successfully intervened in September 1998. The defendant filed two summary judgment motions in July 1999 (one against the EEOC's complaint and one against the intervenor's complaint), neither of which were ruled on. After a notification of settlement in July 1999, the parties entered into a settlement agreement on April 3, 2000, the contents of which are unknown.
