This race and gender discrimination case was originally filed in the Superior Court of Essex County, New Jersey by five African American Female employees of White Castle Systems, Inc. The plaintiffs alleged the defendant engaged in a pattern and practice of discrimination against them based on race and gender. They also state claims for intentional infliction of emotional distress, and violations of the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (N.J.S.A. 10:5-1) and Article I, paragraphs 1 and 5 of the New Jersey State Constitution.
