On November 25, 2002, twenty employees filed a lawsuit under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq., in the United States District Court of the District of New Jersey. The plaintiffs, represented by private counsel, alleged discrimination by their employer, AT&T Corporation, based on age, race, disability, national origin and/or religion.
On April 1, 2003, the defendant filed motion to dismiss. The plaintiffs filed an amended complaint on April 30, 2003, but on May 7, 2003 the court (Chief Judge Garret E. Brown, Jr.) granted defendant's motion to dismiss and officially closed the case. Certain of the plaintiff's individual cases were transferred to various district courts across the United States, and no collective class action suit was pursued thereafter.
We have only the PACER docket, so no further information is available.
