Federal Judicial Service:
Judge, U.S. District Court, Middle District of Pennsylvania
Nominated by Herbert Hoover on September 9, 1929, to a new seat authorized by 45 Stat. 1344. Confirmed by the Senate on December 17, 1929, and received commission on December 17, 1929. Served as chief judge, 1948-1955. Assumed senior status on May 31, 1955. Service terminated on December 20, 1960, due to death.
