Federal Judicial Service:
Judge, U.S. District Court, Western District of Arkansas
Nominated by Ronald Reagan on August 28, 1981, to a seat vacated by Paul X Williams. Confirmed by the Senate on October 21, 1981, and received commission on October 26, 1981. Served as chief judge, 1981-1997. Assumed senior status on August 1, 1997. Service terminated on April 16, 2002, due to death.
