Federal Judicial Service:
Judge, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Alabama
Nominated by Grover Cleveland on December 13, 1886, to a new seat authorized by 24 Stat. 213. Confirmed by the Senate on January 13, 1887, and received commission on January 13, 1887. Service terminated on November 12, 1916, due to death.
