Federal Judicial Service:
Judge, U.S. District Court, Northern District of Florida
Received a recess appointment from Benjamin Harrison on May 17, 1889, to a seat vacated by Thomas Settle; nominated to the same position by Benjamin Harrison on December 5, 1889. Confirmed by the Senate on April 1, 1890, and received commission on April 1, 1890. Service terminated on July 5, 1907, due to death.
