Federal Judicial Service:
Judge, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit
Nominated by Calvin Coolidge on December 15, 1926, to a seat vacated by Henry Wade Rogers. Confirmed by the Senate on December 22, 1926, and received commission on December 22, 1926. Served as chief judge, 1951-1953. Assumed senior status on July 1, 1953. Service terminated on July 13, 1975, due to death.
