Federal Judicial Service:
Judge, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Indiana
Nominated by Harry S Truman on February 14, 1950, to a seat vacated by Robert C. Baltzell. Confirmed by the Senate on April 4, 1950, and received commission on April 7, 1950. Served as chief judge, 1954-1982. Assumed senior status on December 31, 1986. Service terminated on March 8, 1995, due to death.
