Judge, U.S. District Court, Northern District of New York
Nominated by Jimmy Carter on September 28, 1979, to a new seat authorized by 92 Stat. 1629. Confirmed by the Senate on October 31, 1979, and received commission on November 2, 1979. Served as chief judge, 1988-1993. Assumed senior status on April 6, 1993. Service terminated on September 7, 2014, due to death.
