Federal Judicial Service:
Judge, U.S. District Court, District of Oregon
Nominated by Franklin D. Roosevelt on August 5, 1937, to a seat vacated by John H. McNary. Confirmed by the Senate on August 17, 1937, and received commission on August 20, 1937. Served as chief judge, 1954-1958. Assumed senior status on December 31, 1958. Service terminated on September 30, 1959, due to death.
