Judge, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia
Received a recess appointment from Harry S Truman on October 14, 1946, to a seat vacated by Jesse C. Adkins; nominated to the same position by Harry S Truman on January 8, 1947. Confirmed by the Senate on January 22, 1947, and received commission on January 24, 1947. Served as chief judge, 1966. Assumed senior status on November 1, 1966. Service terminated on April 13, 1986, due to death.
