Federal Judicial Service:
Judge, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit
Nominated by Lyndon B. Johnson on July 11, 1966, to a seat vacated by Francis Ryan Duffy. Confirmed by the Senate on August 10, 1966, and received commission on August 11, 1966. Served as chief judge, 1975-1981. Assumed senior status on August 31, 1981. Service terminated on February 12, 2007, due to death.
