Federal Judicial Service:
Judge, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit
Nominated by John F. Kennedy on September 9, 1963, to a seat vacated by Thomas Francis McAllister. Confirmed by the Senate on December 16, 1963, and received commission on December 19, 1963. Served as chief judge, 1979-1983. Assumed senior status on January 15, 1985. Service terminated on April 8, 1995, due to death.
