Federal Judicial Service:
Judge, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia
Received a recess appointment from Harry S Truman on October 16, 1946, to a seat vacated by Daniel W. O`Donoghue; nominated to the same position by Harry S Truman on January 8, 1947. Confirmed by the Senate on February 3, 1947, and received commission on February 5, 1947. Served as chief judge, 1966-1971. Assumed senior status on April 2, 1971. Service terminated on January 10, 1988, due to death.
