In September 2003, the Los Angeles office of the EEOC brought this suit against Los Angeles Times in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. The defendant filed a motion for summary judgment in October 2004, and the court granted summary judgment in favor of the defendant in December 2004. After the EEOC filed a notice of appeal in February 2005, the EEOC voluntarily withdrew its appeal in November 2005. No information was made available pertaining to the nature of the suit.
