In June 1998, the Indianapolis office of the EEOC brought this suit against Griffith Rubber Mills of Garrett, Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana. The claimants intervened in the EEOC's suit in October 1998. The case settled by entry of a consent decree in November 1999. This consent decree required the defendant to pay $300,000 to a class of 59 women.
