In September 2003 the Norfolk office of the EEOC brought this suit against Spiegel Group Teleservices, Inc. and Spiegel, Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. The complaint is unavailable, and the exact allegations brought by the EEOC are unknown. The defendant filed a motion for summary judgment in July 2004, which was granted in August 2004. The EEOC filed a notice of appeal in October 2004, but the appeal was dismissed.
