Case Summary

In July 2004, the Pittsburgh office of the EEOC brought this suit against Laidlaw Transit, Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. The defendant moved to partially dismiss the EEOC's complaint in October 2004, and the court dismissed the EEOC's Pennsylvania Wage Payment and Collection Law claim. The court dismissed the EEOC's claims against the individual defendants in November 2004. After the defendant filed a motion for summary judgment in April 2005, the parties settled the case by entry of a consent decree in May 2005. No information was available pertaining to the nature of the suit or the consent decree.
