The EEOC's New York office filed this suit on June 30, 1997 in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of New York, Buffalo Division. Two complainants intervened in the case. Because the defendant, R.J.D. Enterprises, Inc., never answered the complaint, the EEOC moved for a default judgment. The motion was granted on December 4, 1998 and judgment entered March 21, 2000. The court awarded the complainants $47,988 in the default judgment. The complaint was not available on PACER, therefore it is impossible to discern what the EEOC and the complainants alleged.
