In April 2001 the San Antonio, TX office of the EEOC brought this suit against Paesanos Di San Antonio, Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. The complaint is unavailable, but court documents show that the EEOC alleged that the defendant subjected female employees to sexual harassment and a hostile work environment.
The case was settled by the entry of a consent decree in May 2002. In the three-year decree, three female charging parties were awarded $115,000.00. Additionally, the defendant was required to adopt an anti-discrimination policy, implement a complaint procedure, provide EEO training to its management three times a year, maintain records of all harassment complaints, and report to the EEOC semi-annually.
