The Detroit Office of the EEOC brought this suit against Burlington Coat Factory Warehouse, Incorporated and Burlington Coat Factory Warehouse Corporation of Taylor, Incorporated in September 1998 in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan (Detroit). Since only the docket and the judgment order are available, there is no information regarding the nature of the allegations made against the defendants. After denying the defendants' motion for summary judgment in March 2000, the case was reassigned and transferred to another court in the Eastern District of Michigan. After jury trial, judgment was entered on a verdict for the defendant in December 2000.
