In March 2000, the EEOC brought this action against Edencare Senior Living Services, Inc. and Summit Place of Columbia, Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina. The complaint is currently unavailable. Soon after the parties stipulated to dismiss defendant Summit Place of Cloumbia, Inc., the EEOC moved for, and was granted, voluntary dismissal pursuant to Rule 41 of the Fed. R. Civ. P. in July 2000.
