The EEOC's Detroit office filed this suit on July 31, 2001 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, Detroit Division. The complainant intervened in the suit. The defendant and the complainants both filed discovery motions. The parties settled by consent decree on August 22, 2002. The defendant agreed to pay the complainant $60,000 in monetary relief, reinstate her in her position and provide her a positive job reference.
