In March 1998 the Chicago office of the EEOC brought this suit against Marion Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company, Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois. The complaint is unavailable, and the exact allegations brought by the EEOC are unknown. The defendant filed a motion for partial summary judgment in February 1999, but this motion was not resolved because the case later settled. A consent decree was entered in May 1999, the details of which are unknown.
